W największym uproszczeniu 'grunty kites' (nota bene ciekaw jestem polskiej nazwy ) to latawce o super dole jak np.: Rhino 2, Slingshot Fuel, natomiast 'non-grunty' to latawce które najlepiej sprawdzają się w górnym zakresie (kosztem dołu) np. Naish X3, Rhino 4.
