Hello,

I am coming to Poland in August by myself and am thinking of coming to Hel near Gdansk or I am open to recommendations to other places in Poland.
What I would like to know is,

- what is the wind like. Strength and is it windy in August?
- Is there flat water or is it very rough? Choppy?

I will have a camper so I assume there are lots of camp sites?

Anyway, looking to meet up with some cool people.

Wracam do Polski w sierpniu sam i myślę o przyjście na Hel w okolicach Gdańska i jestem otwarty na zalecenia dla innych miejsc w Polsce .
Co chciałbym wiedzieć, jest ,

- Co to jestwiatr itp. Siła i to jest wietrznie w sierpniu ?
- Czy jest płaska woda , czy jest to bardzo niebezpieczne ? Niepewny ?

Będę musiał camper więc zakładam, istnieje wiele obozów ?

W każdym razie, patrząc na spotkanie z niektórych fajnych ludzi .

Wind in Poland is kind of a gamble. The best thing to do is to bring your whole quiver. We get all sorts of wind (or there might be no wind at all) - storms, thermals, breezes. From 0 to 40+ kts. However most of the time we have very light winds, so bring yourbigger kites/boards for sure.

Hel peninsula has usually a bit of chop in the Pucka bay area. On the other side of Hel there is open sea, small waves if wind blows. There is butter flat water in Rewa 20 km from Hel. Hel is more windy tho.

Camping in August should be no problem - plenty of camps with all facilities you might need.
