Hi there! I from sweden and I don't understand a word polish, so please answer in english. I'm planing to take a trip to north Poland this summer and wounder were I should go. I have heard of Hel. Is it good? What wind directins is the best. I will probably arrive by ferry in Swinoujscie and then travel by car to Hel. Is there any spots along the way? How far is it from Swinoujscie to Hel? And how the hell do you pronouns Swinoujscie? :D

Heh, Świnoujście is rather far from Hel, probably more than 200km. You'd better take the ferry to Gdansk or Gdynia, and from there you've got more or less 50km, or (I hope) there'll be direct ship connection from Gdansk to the Hel peninsula.

You've asked whether Hel is good - I'll tell you that it's one of the best kitesurfing spots in Europe, however you'll have to take a wetsuit. We're not as hot as Egypt is.
If you dont mind swimming in sea, all wind directions will be good. Check yourself:

Hel peninsula has the beginning in Wladyslawowo and ends in Hel :)

According to www.map24.com Swinoujscie is 370 km far from Hel. (I mean Wladyslawowo - beginning of the peninsula)
