KITEFORUM.PL - kitesurfing

Hi surf dudes im going to Lodz with my wife on thursday, i would like to know if its possible to kite near Lodz, i know there is some big lakes but maybe its not so good to lunch the kite, pleace help me! should i bring my gear?

I don't know what kind of kitesurfing you are interested in but in my opinion the best inland spot around Lodz is Jeziorsko lake on Warta river. I don't know if you know polish but some description is here:

This lake is located about 70 km West from Lodz but it is worth going there. There are only a few trees around the lake so the wind is pretty stable The water is not too clean and the bottom isn't really nice. But you are going to kitesurf there - not to stand in the water

On the other side of Lodz there is also Sulejowski lake but the wind is less stable there due to the trees almost everywhere. I don't like this place to much because it is hard to kitesurf there. I think that the best place is Tresta.

We have also some small punds but i think that you are not interested in it.

There are some places around Lodz to kitesurf. Main object is Jeziorsko as Onzo said. But as I saw on winguru.com it won't be a windy week so if you don't have kite about 30 metres it would be difficult to kitesurf on 5 knots... but it can be different, and maybe the wind will appear. Take the gear, don't forget about wetsuit boots... and if wind will be ok you can try. Thanks guys i have my gear whit me im going to lake today maybe there could come some wind tomorrow i hope, otherwise its just gonna be a quiet fishing time

Tommorow and probably on thursday there should be a little bit of wind. If you have big kite you can try. In my opinion the wind will be for Flysurfer Speed 17 or FS Psycho2 26.0. The LEI's won't fly
